almost all leaders in the world are using the goal management method. This method can be simply summarized in one sentence, that is, according to the principle of "what I am doing now makes me closer to the goal", judge the priorities of the work and arrange the time reasonably.
it includes the following:
(1) Set goals. If you want to work better, the first and most important thing is to ask yourself, "What is my goal?" Because you are the decision maker of an organization, you should first think that the goal must be the goal of the organization.
(2) Make a plan. The biggest difference between a leader and an entourage is that the leader will carefully plan the steps of his efforts; he will automatically be aggressive without being reminded. If a person does not have the ability to make a work plan, he is not qualified to be a decision maker.
(3) Action at different levels.
first, important and urgent. These things take precedence over anything and are jobs that must be done immediately or well in the near future.
second, important but not urgent. At work, most of the really important things are not urgent and can be done now or later. In fact, we tend to delay these things endlessly. Therefore, we should pay attention to making this kind of work a priority.
third, it is urgent but not important. This category is something that seems to require immediate action on the surface, but an objective and calm analysis can include them in the second priority.
fourth, it is neither urgent nor important. However, we often do important things before doing them. These things will distract you. They give you a feeling of something to do and accomplishment, and give you an excuse to delay important work backward.
(4) Set a deadline. The tasks assigned to oneself or others must have a deadline, which will never be completed. Set a deadline to put pressure on yourself and finish the work as soon as possible. Respect the deadline set by yourself and cannot develop the problem of procrastination.
(5) Track the query. When you assign a job to someone else and they don't do it well, you don't say, "What's going on with these people?" Instead, ask yourself, "What's going on with me? What have I done to make these people dishonest with me?" The reason is that you don't have a system for tracking inquiries. If so, the work you assign will definitely be given priority.
if you can stick to the above principles of target management to deal with the work, then you will become an excellent manager.
